The Desk does not use Daily or Max Drawdown as a sudden account-ending event. Drawdown matters, heavily, inside Meritix, but the consequence is Recovery Mode, not breach. The funded relationship has economic bounds; the trader's relationship with The Desk does not.
Recovery Mode entry: cycle equity-drawdown ≥ 15%, sustained Q < 400 across 2 cycles, or single 24-hour realized loss ≥ 7%.Recovery exit: Q sustained > 500 across 2 cycles AND no new drawdown event ≥ 5%. Account closes only after 6 consecutive cycles in Recovery without exit, and even then, your Rating and profile are preserved. You can open a new funded account.
