What is a Daily
Funded Session?

No jargon. Here is the whole thing, step by step.

1

You already have a free $10,000 account.

When you join The Desk you get a real $10,000 Open account for free. It’s a practice-grade account: you can trade it, but profit on it is not cash yet.

2

You start a Daily Funded Session for $29.95.

For one flat fee, that same $10,000 account becomes fully funded for 24 hours. Now positive session P&L can become payout-eligible if it passes Snap Quality and review. One day, one fee, no challenge to pass first.

3

You trade your own way for that day.

Buy and sell whatever you normally trade. There is no profit target you must hit and no contest against other people. It is just you and your own trading, for 24 hours.

4

If you end the day in profit, we check how you made it.

A system called Snap Quality looks at how you earned the profit, not just how much. Did you spread your trades out? Did you keep your losses small along the way? Did you avoid making it all on one lucky bet? The cleaner and more skillful the trading, the bigger the slice you keep.

5

You get paid your share.

That slice is your profit share. Good, disciplined trading can keep up to 100% of the profit. Risky, all-on-one-bet trading keeps much less. After review and KYC, your approved payout can be withdrawn.

Pay $29.95, turn your free $10K account fully funded for a day, and keep a share of whatever you make. The more skillful your trading, the bigger your share, up to 100%.

Simple rule

Trade normally. Keep your risk controlled. Avoid one-trade jackpots. The cleaner the session, the higher your share.

You do not need to memorize the scoring model. The dashboard shows your projected Snap Quality as you trade.

Ready to trade your first funded day?

Your share is earned by how you trade,
not just how much.

Every session gets a single Quality score from 0 to 1000, built from the components below. A higher score means a higher profit share. There is no fixed cap: the cleanest sessions reach 90% and above. Here is exactly what we look at.

1
Trade count
How many trades you made

Measures whether you actually traded a sample of decisions or just placed one or two bets. One trade earns about 39% of this factor, two trades about 71%, and three or more earns the full 100%. Trading more than three brings no extra reward or penalty here — three is enough to read as deliberate.

3 trades

2
Top-trade concentration
Did one trade carry the day

Measures whether your profit was spread across trades or leaned on one big winner. If your single best trade is no more than about a third of your profit, you keep the full 100%. At half your profit from one trade it falls to about 64%, at 70% it drops to about 27%, and once one trade is essentially everything it bottoms out at a 15% floor — concentrated, but never zeroed.

3
Symbol diversification
One instrument or several

Measures whether your profit came from several markets or mostly one instrument. Up to about two-thirds from a single symbol keeps the full 100%. At 80% from one symbol it falls to about 56%, and at 90% or more it settles on a 30% floor — we respect specialists, so single-symbol trading is reduced but always still pays.

4
Position size & exposure
How much size you put on

Measures how much size you put on relative to the account. A small largest position (around $30,000) keeps about 74%; around $120,000 it is roughly halved to 50%; at $300,000 it falls to about 33%. The bigger the position you needed to make the money, the less of this factor you keep — controlled size is rewarded over heavy leverage.

5
Windfall vs. repeatable
How repeatable the profit looks

Measures how repeatable your profit looks. There is no cap — more profit always means more money — but a giant one-day windfall is compressed because it rarely repeats. A $100 day keeps about 97% of this factor, $1,500 keeps about 76%, $5,000 about 56%, and a $15,000 spike about 38%.

6
Drawdown control
How much pain along the way

Measures how much pain you took along the way — the deepest your equity dipped from its session high, including open positions. A barely-there 0.5% dip keeps about 88%; a 1% dip about 76%; a 2% dip about 55%; a 3% dip about 37%; a deep 5% dip only about 10%. As you approach a 7% drawdown the factor fades smoothly to zero — there is no sudden breach or disqualification, the share simply trends to nothing as the risk you took grows. This is the firm’s most important risk measure.

7
News-event timing
Trading an edge vs the news lottery

Measures whether your profit came from a real edge or from the volatility lottery around major news releases. With no profit near news you keep the full 100%; with 25% of your profit clustered in news windows it falls to about 67%; at half it is about 38%; and a session made entirely on news spikes trends to zero. Evaluated live as trades open and close against the news calendar.

Holding time
Real trades vs sub-minute noise

Measures whether your profit came from real trades or sub-minute noise. With no sub-minute scalps you keep the full 100%; with a quarter of your profit from them it is about 71%; at half about 44%; and a session that is almost all sub-60-second trades trends to zero. Some quick trades are fine — a session built on them is not.

Profit this session$280
Your positive PnL. There is no cap, but a large one-day windfall is compressed, since it rarely repeats.
Number of trades18
Too few trades reads as a one-shot bet. The factor reaches full credit by about three trades.
Biggest trade share22%
Share of profit from your single best trade. Below ~35% there is no penalty; above it the share falls steeply.
Single-symbol share45%
Share of profit from one instrument. Concentration is reduced, not erased. Single-symbol still pays a floor.
Largest position size$28k
Max notional exposure. Small relative to the account keeps near-full credit; oversized positions reduce it.
Max drawdown0.30%
Worst peak-to-trough equity dip, open positions included. As it approaches 7% the share fades smoothly to zero — no breach, no disqualification. This is the firm's core protection.
News-window profit0%
Share of profit from trades around high-impact news (±3 min). Reduces the share on 1D; hard-gated on 4H.
Scalp profit (sub-60s)5%
Share of profit from trades held under 60 seconds. Some is fine; a mostly-scalp session is heavily reduced.
