Trader Guide / Section 7
Using the Platform
The hands-on reference: dashboard, Terminal, symbols, and Discord.
The hands-on reference for actually clicking around The Desk.
7.1 Dashboard tour
Your dashboard is home base. At a glance it shows:
- Your accounts , the free $10,000 qualification account and any funded account.
- Your Wallet , withdrawable cash and Desk Credit, with transaction history.
- Your Rating , your current standing and trend toward the next tier.
- Active session or Room , if you have one running, its status and remaining
time.
- Actions , start a Daily Funded Session, go to the Floor, upgrade your tier,
link Discord.
7.2 The Trading Terminal
The Terminal is where you trade.
- Layout: watchlist, charts, and the order ticket.
- Placing an order: choose a symbol, set your size, and submit. You can go long
or short.
- Managing a position: modify or close from the Terminal; set protective levels
as the platform allows.
- Order types: the Terminal supports the standard order types , market and
pending orders , so you can enter now or on a level. The order ticket explains each as you use it.
Practice freely on your free account to learn the Terminal before you put a funded session or Room on the line , nothing on the free account is withdrawable, so it's a safe sandbox.
7.3 Symbols and markets
- What you can trade: the platform's available instruments (e.g. major indices,
FX, and other listed symbols).
- Market hours: each symbol trades during its market's hours; outside those, it
may not quote.
- Reading a symbol: each has its own spread, leverage, contract size, and tick
precision. Check the symbol's details before sizing a position , especially leverage and contract size, which determine your real exposure.
7.4 Notifications and community (Discord)
The Desk's community runs on Discord, and linking it matters:
- Link your Discord from your dashboard. It connects you to the community server.
- Why it matters: announcements, support, and , importantly , giveaway draws
happen through Discord. Linking your Discord is also how you become eligible for member perks and giveaway entry.
- Where to get help: the community and support channels are the fastest way to
reach a human (see also Section 10.4).
